This blog is run by students at Hershey High School in Hershey, Pennsylvania, and will promote and follow the exciting journey of Brett Kelley, curator of the National Civil War Museum in Harrisburg, PA as he marches as a Confederate soldier from Fredericksburg, VA to Harrisburg from May 16th to 30th, 2011. The journey is a fundraiser for the NCWM Education Department.
Last year, the intrepid Mr. Kelley lived as a Union soldier outdoors in February (through two horrid snow storms) as a fundraiser. We provided the same service, and the record of Brett’s tribulations is available at Walking the Picket Line.
